It is an annual mandatory requirement for you to record details of your CPD and submit upon next year's renewal of your membership. Acquiring CPD points is something we probably all do without knowing it and by going about your daily business as a finance professional, many of your activities will contribute to your CPD.
The IAB facilitate CPD opportunities through multiple platforms such as: Coffee Mornings, participation in Ambassador groups, online courses, webinars and seminars, provision of regulated qualifications, and much more. Our new CPD partner also offers more CPD opportunities.
To help you log this, we've set up a CPD tracking account for you with our CPD partner, Accounting CPD. You can access it directly from the members area, no separate login needed. As you complete training and log CPD activity on Accounting CPD, your completed CPD details are sent back to IAB and held on our CRM, so your CPD record stays up to date within your IAB membership account too. Alternatively, you can continue to log your CPD on the spreadsheet provided in the general guidance section of the members area, where you'll also find guidance notes to assist you.
If you choose to end your IAB membership your free membership with Accounting CPD will also be relinquished. You will need to re-engage with Accounting CPD directly if you wish to retain your account with them.
